Day 6: Popsicles & Kroger Misadventures

Ah, relief. Finally something that feels good on my throat! Kevin had suggested popsicles early in the week but I bought the creamy variety, on accident.

The standard Kroger brand popsicles are just swell; very soothing. What’s great about them is that don’t contain any “fancy” stuff like real juice, vitamins, etc.

These popsicles came at a price, however. The average age of the Kroger customers at noon is about 95.

I nearly got run over by a 60 something crazed woman. I was waiting patiently for someone to back out. She looked into my eyes and gunned it toward the spot. I honked my horn and played chicken with her, a bit. (Normally, this wouldn’t even occur to me to do this, but she needs the exercise, I don’t!)

After this behavior, I looked for a name on the door stating “St. Rita School for the Deaf,” but there was not one. Sorry, Kevin. Must have been someone else.

The parking lot thing with the old lady--since I am the proud user of a company Ford Tauri, we just this week had to take a safety course over the web since apparently parking lots have been the number one place for accidents in these vehicles!
