Weekly Roundup

RECONNECT @ WORK – I was back at work downtown by Wednesday and I had a nice lunch with colleagues to wish Jocelyn a farewell, as she moves on to a new assignment. I work with some great people. I like the fact that we like being around each other.

RECONNECT SOCIALLY – I was able to drop by Hamburger Mary’s on Wednesday for a bite to eat as well as a single beer (still on antibiotics.) It was really nice to be “oot and a boot,” (as they say in Toronto.) I had not been out on a social basis for almost two weeks!

YARD SALE (YARD NOT INCLUDED) – Kevin and I are having a yard sale on Saturday. We’ve not planned it very closely but it should be a chance to free up some space, before loading the space up with newer junk. Oh, it sounds pretty bad to have a "9/11 Yard Sale," but it's too late to turn back now.

INSENSITIVITY – Sometimes I’m bad about being insensitive in what I say to people and I don’t realize it. I need to work on it.

ST. ELMO’S FLOP – While sick, earlier this week, I had an opportunity to watch St. Elmo’s fire. It was a star-studded film with a lot of amazing actors. I had one concern about the film: Was there a hidden plot that I missed? Because, I found it to be a veritable piece of crap in a pretty, shiny wrapper.

WORKIN’ IT – I’m excited that I get to reconnect with the gym—next week. During my sickness, I don’t want to lose out on the gains I’ve made in my weight training.

Hey Matty. How'd the yard sale go?
