The Esperanto Language is so Gay

I love wikipedia. So much fascinating stuff. While browsing a page regarding Harry Potter (my current read,) I noticed that I had the option to read the very same page in Esperanto.

Hey! While quirky, I was surprised a lot of it made sense.

So I read on, browsing a few more pages in the make believe tongue Then I found this gem having to do with an Amphora seduction scene:

The Washing of The Pussies

It had to happen some time or another and with me being out of town, I've been putting it off. While both cats have extremely soft coats, I believe in hand washing cats every 3 months…

Mr. Patterson came first…

… Then Chase

I was completely soaked after washing the pussies!

At the end, we all hung out upstairs in the den where I put a space heater on and toweled them off. They were not upset at me and spent a large amount of time licking themselves:

Valentine’s Day Long Distance Dedication

According to GeoBytes, there are currently 5654 miles (or 9099 km) between me and my love. That’s way too far, especially on Valentine's Day!

So, I send out the following long distance dedication to Jason:

I love you, babe!

Rest in Peace

Yesterday was Marita’s funeral. It took place in a small chapel in the small town where they live near Hannover, Germany. I was pleased to see that approximately 150 people attended the service. After the service, they lowered the casket into the ground and the procession of people passed by the grave saying their final goodbyes and tossing dirt, pedals or roses on to the casket 6 feet below.

Marita was really an amazing woman. Very kind and very good to her friends and family. She had this way of caring for those around her. She will truly be missed.

Death

I was informed yesterday that Marita, the mom in my host family died of complications due to lung cancer. I’ve known her for almost 20 years; she was such an incredibly sweet person. I feel so bad for the family.

I made a decision to help the family and attend the funeral. I will not have access to the Internet, so my blog entries will be limited for a bit.

I wish it were colder. 0 F/-18 C is just too warm for me:

Oh, in case you were wondering, these are two widgets in Mac OS X. At left is the standard weather gadget. On the right is "Flappie."

Weekly Roundup

OPEN WIDE AND READY! – Yay! Today is another open house. Yes, it is Superbowl Sunday, but I feel it cannot hurt. Don Johnson said I’ve done all that I can to get interest in the place. He’s now going to focus on special financing offers and other tricks to promote interest in the house. As mentioned before, a serious offer soon would be preferable if I don’t want to pay for two houses at the same time.

WORK – When I haven’t been sleeping or doing house stuff, I’ve been working. Fortunately, I feel like I’m getting back on top of things after having been out of the office for the holidays and for things related to my dad. I’m a project manager and my big project had practically come to a halt, which was not good.

BETTER BLOGGING – I am making a bit more time for myself and I have few excuses now for not blogging more. Can you believe that this is the first “Weekly Roundup” that I have done in 2007?

SEPARATED AT BIRTH - Glenn came up with this little gem:

9 WEEKS – Jason and I will finally be together in 9 weeks. Yay!

TOO NELLY? – So, Paul and are going to a party with some of his “straight friends,” in Northern Kentucky. There will be lots of people there and I thought long and hard about what to bring. Superbowl has so much carb loading, I pondered something lower fat. Then, I thought, screw it: nobody wants healthy today. So, I decided to go the opposite of carb-free, namely high fat, low quality desserts and candies. So, I created this masterpiece:

(I especially like the suckers as it has a mild sexual connotation and it gives much needed height/lift to the work.)

Bawston

For January, 2007, I've actually spent more time in Boston than I have in Cincinnati. This week's agenda is work work. I've been in very labored and sometimes controversial, back to back meetings from early in the morning.

I've been working so much that I haven't had a chance to really enjoy the city, the food or the culture. Maybe next time, in February...

Updated! I did manage to take these low quality pictures on my crappy RAZR: (I miss the little brother.)
