January Midnight Walk

Steve and I spent a quiet Sunday afternoon watching movies. After dropping him off, I noticed how quiet the city was and that there was an unusual fog cast over the city. What a perfect opportunity to shoot some nighttime pictures!

It was about midnight and I grabbed my camera at home then headed out, capturing a quiet evening in the Queen City.

January 2010: 12 of 12

Here’s what 12 of 12 is all about:

On the 12th day of each month you take 12 photos showing how you spent your day, post them on your blog, and then link the post back to Chad.

9:40 am. I make a nice Weight Watchers (TM) breakfast consisting of egg beaters, canadian bacon and microwaved veggies. Oh, with a double cappuccino with raspberry flavoring and skim milk. How many points, you may ask? 6 POINTS (R)

10:30 am. First walk of the day for puppy. We walk counter clockwise, so I can take pictures. It's amazing that any of my pictures are in focus, as she constantly tugs on the leash.

10:41 am. We walk by the stadium near the house. Not much for the puppy to smell, so we walk on.

12:13 pm. After lunch, I go for a walk without puppy to retake some of the shots I had taken earlier in the week, including this church in Over-the-Rhine.

12:24 pm. Looking back at downtown Cincinnati, in Washington Park.

12:30 pm. Over-the-Rhine, Liberty Street...

12:35 pm. I then drive to Union Station Terminal. What an amazing building. (BTW--This picture will be displayed at "Final Fridays" at the Pendleton Art Center, Studio 414 on January 29, 2010.)

3:07 pm. After doing some work, I look down and puppy is taking a nap with "new puppy" after repeatedly biting it. (IKEA toys ROCK!)

3:28 pm. I go through my pictures to decide what to order for "Final Fridays."

5:21 pm. I talk Amélie for walk #2 of the day. Although I look sour, I'm not at all.

5:36 pm. It's nearing sunset in Cincinnati. Everything has a purplish hue!

5:40 pm. Sunset. I go inside and debate what I can cook for the 18 Points (R) that I have remaining to eat.
